WHAT IS AIMHIRE?
AimHire is a job placement program that helps Welcome Center consumers enter the workforce.
HOW DOES THE PROGRAM WORK?
When someone signs up to participate in AimHire, we take an individualized approach with them. We get to know them. We help them assess their skills and interests. We look at the subtle issues that might stand in the way of their success. We address any special accommodations that they need.
This is a team effort led by an employment specialist and supported by a task force of staff, consumers, volunteers, and board members. The team not only provides mentoring to the consumers but also reaches out to the community to connect with potential employers and actually create jobs. We know from experience that respecting the uniqueness of each individual and building trusting relationships are the ingredients of success.
